Designated Site: Presbyterian Hospital Dallas

The purpose of this clinical study is to look at whether different bioprosthetic (made of biological material) aortic and mitral heart valve designs lead to different choices of valve size within a given patient. The study will involve measuring or "sizing" the valve opening, called the annulus, of the diseased heart valve with different sizing tools before the bioprosthetic heart valve replacement. Information gained from this study could result in improved heart valve selection which would lead to better heart valve performance for patients in the future.
