Phase III Randomized Study of Lobectomy Versus Sublobar Resection in Patients With Small Peripheral Stage IA Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

The purpose of the study is to compare the disease-free survival of patients with small (≤ 2 cm) peripheral stage IA non-small cell lung cancer undergoing sublobar resection (wedge resection or segmentectomy) vs lobectomy (surgery to remove one lobe of the lung).You will be enrolled in the trial for up to 5 years following surgery for routine treatment including physical exams, labs and scans (3 months for the 1st year, every 6 months the 2nd year, and then yearly).
