FOR PATIENTS

Heart, circulatory and lung diseases are the leading cause of death and disability in America. Over 150 billion dollars are spent each year on treatment, care and lost productivity for patients inflicted with these illnesses. The Cardiopulmonary Research Science and Technology Institute (CRSTI), a not-for-profit 501(C)3, medical research organization, is devoted to advancing knowledge and therapies for these disorders through research, outcomes assessment, and education. As a result of the research and dedication of the physicians associated with CRSTI, patients in our community suffering from these leading killers have increased access to leading-edge technology and resources that may some day save their lives.

Clinical research has shifted dramatically over the last several years, evolving from an academic-based cottage industry to a corporate-based global concern. The pace at which science and technology is advancing fuels a constant requiremnt that new products, devices and methods be evaluated for safety and efficacy.

CRSTI was created to fulfill these growing demands by focusing physicians and resources on new cardiovascular and pulmonary treatments and technologies. CRSTI clinical thought leaders have extensive experience in clinical research and outcomes assessment. Their commitment to advancing the science of medicine by ensuring the safety and efficacy of new treatment modalities, may help save lives and ensure the highest quality of care is available in our community.
